"Daniel Thompson, acoustic guitar, and Caroline Kraabel on alto saxophone are accompanied at this session by dancer Max Reed, who also lends his voice and provides "surface sounds" in this remarkable improvisation session.

When Thompson and Kraabel play, I am always already on the edge of my seat, because these two not only know how to make it incredibly exciting and on the edge, they are also often very funny, and here Max Reed disrupts things just a little bit more, making it even more curious and, as far as I am concerned, fun.

This is jazz for anyone with open ears, but definitely not music for the background or to dream away to, here you as a listener are really put on edge. So little also happens regularly that you have to pay very close attention, because what does happen is solidly essential and the silences also work fabulously well here.
